Marcelo Vital is a journalist and freelance writer living in Toronto. Originally from Brazil, Marcelo became a Canadian citizen in 2014. He has been -- in no specific order -- a translator, a radio DJ, medical researcher, bartender, reporter and a skipper at the Jungle Cruise.

His latest project is authoring a historical-fiction graphic novel about Owney, the real-life dog who traveled around the world in 1895. It's called "The Secret Around-the-World Adventures of Owney, the Postal Dog," a successfully funded Kickstarter project.

This blog expresses the author's opinions about comics and storytelling in all its possibilities of shapes, cape sizes, genres, media, race, sexual orientation and religious affiliation. A good story always trumps everything.
